Nålebinding (literally "binding with a needle") is an ancient textile technique that predates both knitting and crochet by thousands of years. Widely practiced throughout the Viking Age across Scandinavia, it was used to create dense, durable, and warm garments such as mittens, socks, hats, and milk strainers.

Gormánuður Viking Fest 2026 Nalbinding workshop registration. Good for one student. Class will take place at Viking Hall on Saturday, November 7th. See event schedule for specific times.
